Separation Wall

Today we took a field trip to the separation wall. This wall is a major problem today in Israel. It separates the Israeli land from the Palestinian land. One thing that that I learned from our tour guide was that the reason the BYU-program was able to open up again was because of this wall. It was good to be education about the wall. Its hard to decided what is wrong and right about the wall. Its good to just know both sides.


There was graffiti everywhere. It was interesting to me that it was in English. Almost like they did that on purpose for us to read. Its kinda sad to read it all!

Lunch with the Locals!!

We are encouraged to meet the families in our neighborhood. We met this family and visit them when we can. The little girls are so adorable and I love playing with them. I'm so glad we met them!

The lady kept bringing food out and it was AMAZING!! SO GOOD!

It was so much fun to meet them! We are going to try and make it a regular visit each week! They were all so nice!

These girls are so beautiful! The little girl really loves us. She doesn't speak english, but that was not a problem for her. It was so much fun to be around them!

Purim Holiday!!!!

Purim Holiday

I love this holiday! Purim is a jewish holiday/festival commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people of the ancient Persian Empirefrom Haman's plot to annihilate them, as recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther. Its celebrated on Febuary 14th. For some reason they dress up for this holiday and they all go out and party. I'm not sure why they dress up, but it was a lot of fun. We went out that night and everyone was dressed up. They really like to spray this foam stuff and through firecrackers everywhere. It was a very interesting night!

This rock was way cool because it was shaped like a fish. I thought it was awesome!
